Rock Climbing Course

We are specialised in organising custom made rock climbing courses and trips for individuals or small groups. The best learning situation is on a one to one basis (or one to two). We do not have pre-set dates for our courses or trips because we work around the needs and technical level of our clients. The area where our courses and most of our climbing takes place is called Valcamonica, a beautiful valley in the Central Italian Alps, 2 hours drive North-East of Milan. The Valley is a paradise for rock climbing with many natural climbing walls, with something for every level, from beginners to experienced climbers. The Northern part of the valley that borders with Switzerland, boasts Italy's largest glaciers (Adamello and Ortles-Cevedale) and is well known for its ski touring and ice climbing itineraries. Our other "favourite" area is Arco di Trento, on the Northern shore of Lake Garda, with thousands of climbing routes of every level and length: the European capital of rock climbing! The nearest airports to the climbing locations are Verona or Bergamo (Ryan Air).

3 day programme example:

Day 1: basic climbing technique, rope work, knots, rock climbing equipment, belaying and abseiling.
Day 2: single pitch rock climbing, rock climbing technique, protection placing and removal.
Day 3: multi-pitch rock climbing.

The programme will be custom made according to the participants level, needs, amount of days available and according to the weather conditions.

When: all year round

Ability:

Beginner: you want to like to learn the basics about rock climbing. No previous climbing experience is required. You should be in good physical shape.
Advanced: you have some rock climbing and/or mountaineering experience and would like to improve your skills. Your goal is to lead the climbing rope in either sports or classic routes... or both. You should be in good physical shape and be able to lead rock climb V grade.

The price Includes: private guiding and teaching, technical equipment, liability insurance.

Equipment

Technical equipment: harness, helmet, climbing shoes.
Personal equipment: 20 litre backpack, 1 litre water bottle, provisions (energy bars, chocolate, dried fruit, sandwiches…), comfortable climbing clothes.
